In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Circle“
My life has come full circle and another new year’s day has come.
Last year, at midnight, I was at home with my two dogs. I had the doors and windows shut and the fans and TV on full blast to lessen the noise from the fireworks. I think I fell asleep and woke up with the increased noise outside. The whole year existed as a blur. Often, I pondered about my life and the reason I was where I was.
This year, I was at home with my two dogs again with all the doors and windows shut, the fans and TV on and lights off. At midnight, I was on the bed and watched the ball drop on TV for the second time (I had watched live online earlier).
I didn’t want to be anywhere else. I was where I was supposed to be last night.
I get the feeling this is going to be a good year and will not let it just go by.
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Stroke of Midnight”
“Where were you last night at midnight? Would you have wanted to be somewhere else?”
I think that this will be a good year too! Looking forward to hanging here with you!

Happy New Year to you, as well. Sometimes it is much safer to celebrate the New Year’s hoopla at home. We did the same thing.
