Are you lonely?

“No. You see, I am not alone. I am with a companion. We just met, and I don’t know much about her yet but am getting to know her.”

I’m just worried about you.

“I’m fine.”

I know. But, I often see you by yourself with a book.

“Yeah, that. That’s why I’m saying I’m not alone. I’m always with someone whom I could never be with in real life. I have been with Elizabeth, Katniss, Jane, Bella, Skeeter, Anne, Sophie…”

  1. This is so true about books! We are with someone we couldn’t be with in real life. And, we get to change that “companion” as much as we want. Great story!
