“Of course they are smart. They are my dogs.”
“They are your dogs. You go pick up their poop.”
I used to be able to switch my opinion. But, now, they are MY dogs for better or worse.
「賢いに決まっているじゃない。私の犬だもの。」
「あなたの犬でしょ。糞、拾ってきて。」
状況次第で変わる、犬の主人。
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Flip Flop.”
“Think of a topic or issue about which you’ve switched your opinion. Why the change?”
They are your dogs, so it is your poop. And they are so smart that they never deal with their poop — they leave it to you instead. Sweet.

Such a simple way to describe day-to-day relationships and an emptiness that remains when a beloved is no more. That may not have been your intent for this post but that was how I read it. But you are lucky to have such beloved companions remaining with you.
