my companion

“What are you thinking about?”

He says nothing, not even a stir or a look towards my direction.

“Fine.”

I divert my attention to the outside of the window.

Beyond the blue sky and the bright ray, dark, thick rain clouds hang above a distant shore.

“It’s going to be another muggy day,” I murmur to no one.

“Pause whatever you’re doing, and ask the person nearest you what they’re thinking about (call someone if you have to). Write a post based on it.”
